Mme Margaret Chaloff had the most impact
on my musical life of any of my music teachers.
She passed on to me a technique of playing with the breath, that was passed down through many
of the most influential musicians in history. Here is a "lineage" chart that shows some of them:
her students included Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, Kenny Werner, Steve Kuhn, Alan Pasqua, to name a few.
